Message from the Directors

Dear Friend,
Our message is quite simple: to save the lives of children in danger. Today, years after the Chernobyl disaster, the contamination remains every bit as lethal as the day the accident occurred. In fact, in a recent New York Times article, the nuclear poisons in the air, land and water were described as “…persisting for hundreds of years”.

Children, whose growing bodies are the most vulnerable to the contamination, are at grave risk. The only way to save them is to remove them from the poisoned environment they are exposed to daily. Israel is the only country willing to receive these children on a permanent basis.

We are working diligently, as we have for over 20 years, to save as many children as we possibly can. However time is of the essence. It is our supporters, people just like you, who enable us to airlift the children to safety providing them with the medical attention they need, the emotional support they crave, and the education they so deserve to grow up healthy and strong.

Our lifesaving work is the product of the dream of our dear friend, Yossie Raichik, z”l. From the very beginning he was the driving force behind CCOC’s work. He was passionate about saving the children and all those in need. He was their advocate , their mentor, their friend and their champion. It is our privilege to carry on his lifelong dream.

We hope you will join us in our unwavering mission. We would be honored to have you as a partner, and together we will save the children who most need our help.
